My Location

I am located in Princes Risborough, a small town in South Buckinghamshire, about 30 miles from London Heathrow, and about 40 miles from Central London. From here, I can easily reach all the major motorways, and get to any part of the United Kingdom with great ease.

In less than 3 hours, I can reach as far north as Sheffield, as far east as Norwich, as far west as Swansea, and anywhere in the south east of England. London is served by 4 major airports, covering destinations anywhere in the world, so international travel presents no problems.

General Information about me

I started training as a Cameraman with the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation in 1987, working in the studio, and on location covering News and Current Affairs, Entertainment, and Sport. I moved to the South African Broadcasting Corporation in 1989 and continued working on Entertainment, News and Current Affairs, Documentary production, and Sport, as well as freelancing in the News field. After deciding to advance my career as a Cameraman, I moved to the UK in 1995. Soon after my arrival, I took up a contract with Decent Exposure, a crew and equipment Provider, working for Sky Sports. 

I also worked through Decent Exposure on various productions for terrestrial TV. During 1997 and 1998, I was a regular features Cameraman on LWT's "Sunday" with Gloria Hunniford, and I also had regular work on other LWT programmes like "Coppers", "Speed", and "Friday Night Fever."

In May 2000, I left the full time contract with Decent Exposure, and purchased my own Sony DWV790WSP DigiBeta camcorder, and production kit. Since then I have worked regularly for Sky Sports, ISL Productions, CSS-TV, Ten Network Australia, CSL Productions, ITV Sport, zspace Australia, TWI, ITV Digital, Ameba Zebra, King Fisher Television, Pit Lane Productions and CSS Stellar Television on a wide variety of Programmes.

Due to the growing popularity of High Definition production, I have invested in 2 new HD lenses, a Fujinon HA22x7.8, and a Fujinon HA13x4.5. I have also added a Panasonic HD LCD monitor for use on location. I have decided not to purchase an HD Camcorder, until the formats have settled down. I currently shoot mainly on Sony 750 and 900 Camcorders, and have done some shooting with the Panasonic VAricam as well. I still own and operate a Sony DVW790 Digibeta Camcorder.
